I am a "non-traditional" graduate student who has thirty years experience in computer hardware and software, but decided to come back to college and study what I am interested in, not necessarily what I'm good at in my professional life. This led me into a master's program in English where calling it "technical communications" made it acceptable to my employer. Once I discovered digital humanities, I found that it might actually be a fun way to combine both sides of my brain.
