Alicia A. Antone

  

Alicia A. Antone is a native of Providence, Rhode Island. Antone graduated from Johnson and Wales University (RI). She later received a master's degree in Public Administration and a master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island. She received a Certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University’s, The Fundraising School at the Center on Philanthropy located in Indianapolis, Ind. Antone has devoted her career to the field of library studies, including research, fundraising and grants development.

Her background includes over 15 years of progressively responsible experience working in municipal, state and federal libraries as well as other non-profit entities, such as museums and cultural centers. In her current position as the development and partnership coordinator for the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department she is responsible for forging new relationships and strengthening existing relationships with partners, sponsors, funders and grantors. This includes conducting a full-range of activities required to prepare, submit and manage new grant proposals for public and private funders and identifying sources of restricted and unrestricted funding.
